Martin Fryer has been the sustainability manager at Auckland Airport for the past ten years. His background is in environmental sciences although he continues to broadened his education, completing an MBA in July this year. Martin has assisted Auckland Airport in embedding sustainability into all areas of business practice through the development of policy and effective strategy implementation. In 2012 Auckland Airport became the first NZ owned company to appear in the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index Asia Pacific, it has also appeared in the FTSE4Good for the past decade. Martin continually benchmarks and strives for international best practice and the company is seen as a leader in the sustainable operation of airport infrastructural assets.
