Jason Barnett

Interdisciplinary Technologist

Jason is an Interdisciplinary Technologist specialising in 3D Printing, Automation and Emerging Technologies.

Starting early in 2010 on the cusp of the desktop 3D printing movement he designed, built and programmed his own custom 3D Printer. Thinking long-term and with a patient and persistent attitude, Jason felt that in a few short years 3D printing would likely prove to be the next industrial revolution. Luckily this foresight proved correct; fast forward 8 years and he is now one of New Zealand’s leading experts in FDM 3D Printing. All of this making him perfectly suited as our in-house 3D Printing Technician and Educator here at MindKits.

Jason has an unwavering faith in the power of technology to enrich peoples lives; with specific interest in education – demystifying technical information to make it tangible and relevant to anyone.
