Adrian Lobo is the BIM Manager for Boffa Miskell, a multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices across New Zealand. Adrian leads the company’s initiative to advance its design team’s capability in Building Information Modelling. He brings advanced skills in 3D analysis and working design tools, including Infraworks and Revit.
Adrian has hands-on experience in leading construction and development projects, and with the technology and tools that make these projects more efficient and achievable.
After earning degrees in Architecture and Project Management from Technological Institute in Monterrey, Adrian joined a small but innovative engineering firm that was just jumping into Revit. Adrian was responsible for drawing architectural models for the engineers to use, including large facilities like hotels, hospitals, industrial complexes, and stadiums.
As a lead engineer in the property development and construction department for Bayer Latin America, Adrian oversaw infrastructure projects and the construction of the new Corporate Headquarters in Mexico City – a building completely designed in BIM and LEED-certified. He managed the BIM project and served as a project manager for the procurement, contract and operational processes.
Because of his BIM expertise, Adrian was hired by Autodesk. Prior to moving to New Zealand, Adrian was responsible for the AEC products in Mexico and Latin America; offering consulting, mentoring, and promotion of Autodesk Solutions.
